Giving new life to something that seems otherwise worn brings me great joy. I love a good repurpose project and this DIY patriotic denim bunting is just that. So this is a repurposed pair of jeans made into a pretty bunting. I combined the denim with a red and white gingham ruffle and now have the perfect 4th of July themed decor.
A DIY tutorial to make patriotic denim bunting. Repurpose those worn out denim jeans and sew up a fun bunting for your next party.
I love the combination of red, white and blue and this bunting has all that and then some. Who doesn’t love denim and gingham ruffles? This combination is a little bit country, a little bit Americana and perfect for your next party.
I was cleaning out my jean stash and came across a pair I hadn’t worn in forever and promptly placed them in the donation bag. Then I thought twice about donating them seeing as there was plenty of good denim to be had. I knew I could make them into something special. After cutting out a few circles and making the ruffled trim I sewed the circles in half to make this simple denim bunting.
I know you probably have an old pair of blue jeans lying around that would be perfect for this project. Dig through your stash right now and pick a trim fabric to coordinate with your decor and you’ll be sewing this bunting in no time.
