A round up of projects, some completed, some in progress.
First up – Pottery Barn locker style dresser makeover for a friend:
New teacher plaques for a new school year (see the full tutorial here).
Some changes and additions at school, thankfully my kids FINALLY go back on Monday!:
Hello new Master Bedroom side tables:
A very nice friend gave me this pair of dressers.
Yes they need work, the side trim is missing, a few chips in the veneer, BUT they are so perfect for our new bedroom.
And even better they are probably from the 1850’s guessing by this tag someone smartly placed inside the drawer:
A set of burp cloths for new baby Ruby (full tutorial here):
Mail delivery – package from Maine Heritage Timber:
Who doesn’t love a personal cutting board for cheese (and wine)?
Progress in the family room – the windows have been painted semi gloss white:
We still have a ton of red paneling to paint and I’m giving myself a one week deadline.
In the furniture shop – a new build – modern toy box with top, plans coming soon:
(A DIY version of this Land of Nod toy box.)
And another paint makeover, this baby crib went from white to Benjamin Moore polo blue:
And that’s just a little bit of what I’ve been up to lately.

How did you diy the pottery barn locker dresser? My son was gifted a locker bed and we have been looking for a dresser to match FOREVER. His bed has brighter colors…navy, bright orange, kelly green, etc. I haven’t been able to find anything to match…

Hi Kristi, I painted the metal dresser using BM high gloss enamel. First take off the drawer handles then I lightly sanded the metal, wiped clean and then I rolled the paint. This was 6 years ago so I apologize I don’t have any other photos of the process. A paint sprayer would work great too.
