One last post to celebrate 2015 and all the amazing things that happened this past year. I’m extremely thankful to each and every one of my readers and friends, without you all I would not be here sharing.
It’s so fun to look back at all the projects completed throughout the year and hard to pick just a handful to highlight but these are the top 15 for 2015:
One of my favorites is this outdoor rolling console built mostly from cedar. Plans are here.
Sometimes I surprise myself and come up with neat solutions, this hose hiding planter happened to be one of those ideas. Plans and instructions are here.
Part of the annual Handmade Holiday series Ana White and I put out every year, this tree shelf was a huge reader favorite.
I sit at this desk every single day (when I’m not out working in the sawdust!) and it’s truly one of the most used and loved pieces I’ve built to date. My workbench inspired desk using connectors and fasteners is a favorite for sure, details here.
Everyone needs a gift caddy and this version is super easy and fast. (Plus 2015 marks the year I finally learned SketchUp – it’s about time!)
When your son requests a loft bed with lego playspace you build him one. Thanks to Jen Woodhouse at The House of Wood for doing these plans for me. Details here.
A very simple mirror frame that could be used to frame nearly anything. Why did I wait until 2015 to do this project? Step by step instructions here.
These locker cubbies were the most fun (and quick) to build using crates. Bonus they are on The Home Depot in-store signage right now! Get the steps here.
One of our bathrooms got a makeover this past summer and I built this storage cabinet using an old window. I still have about 8 more windows in the basement so you may see this project again!
While I love building furniture and big projects I must admit the smaller, more ‘fun’ projects actually captivate me even more. This cupcake carrier is one of those projects and my kids absolutely love bringing their birthday treats to school using this carrier.
Not only did I build this sideboard (plans here) but at the time I couldn’t decide on a finish so a few months later it got a makeover too! Loving the navy against the copper pulls and this sideboard has TONS of storage space.
Some of the best projects come from blogger collaborations and I’m so lucky to be able to work with some of the best. We did a One Board Challenge using a single 1x8x8 board and this bench is my project. Super simple and plans are here.
I build a lot of kid focused projects and the balance board is one of them. A very simple build you can do in an hour. Make multiples because they are great gifts!
Again for the kids this Frankenstein candy box was a reader favorite! Link to plans here.

Last but not least I FINALLY drew up plans for the mudroom style locker cubbies and bench. So many of you were asking and I’m so happy to be able to share the plans with you.
Thank you for a great year. Looking forward to 2016 and lots of amazing new projects to come!
Happy new year!
I cannot pick a favorite, they're all fantastic projects! Looking forward to see what you have in store for 2016!
Wow! What a year! The tree was definitely one of my favorites – but I would take one of all of them. 😉
I love all of these projects and more! Everything you make is awesome.
So many awesome projects Jaime!! You are so talented!
