End of School Teacher Gifts

June 9, 2010

It’s official, all the kids are done with school which means all of the end of year teacher gifts have been distributed. I thought I’d share what I made for the teachers this year.

Buddy boy is done with nursery school and moving on to Montessori next year. The class picnic is over and as a little gift each of his teachers received a oilcloth lunch bag with a goodie inside:

I used the pattern for the oilcloth lunch bag from Martha Stewart. And inside each bag was a pennant banner made from cotton fabrics sewn onto grosgrain ribbon:

I figure they might be useful for any celebration or even to decorate their classroom. I think they’re pretty darn cute I might have to make some for myself!

For the older girls I made each set of teachers a ‘Welcome’ banner for their classroom door.

And FINALLY the kitchen renovation has begun. It’s hard to get a good picture with all the plastic hanging everywhere so I only have one to show:

AFTER day 1:
Still have a long way to go but it will be worth it.
