Are those holiday cards starting to arrive at your home? And you want to display them because of all those shiny, smiling faces make the season even better? How about this tree shaped card holder with a built in display ledge?
A DIY tutorial to build a tree shaped Christmas card holder. Display your holiday cards on this self standing wood tree.
It’s Friday and that means time for another Handbuilt Holiday gift idea and this may be a little gift for yourself and your family. Ana White and I are sharing a new gift plan every Friday leading up to Christmas (you can see all the previous projects here). Today we have this perfectly simple self standing wood tree made to hold your holiday cards.
But it looks just as cute without any cards too! Who doesn’t love a little tree decor this time of year?
For privacy reasons I opted to display some of our own Christmas cards from years past. But you’ll want to show off all those beautiful cards received from friends and family. The three ledges offer ample space to lean the cards up against the tree.

Ana and I worked together to get the plans just right. So for this project Ana has two different size plans to offer. I actually love the trees paired together just as they are, so cute.
Get the plans over on Ana’s site here. Be sure to select the plan size that works best for you.
