Hi. What are the “simple inexpensive piece of hardware from the electrical aisle”?
Low volt staples http://www.homedepot.com/p/Gardner-Bender-3-16-in-Plastic-Low-Volt-Masonry-Staples-White-25-Pack-PMC-1525W/100174683 They have an edge where the glass can sit and then the nail goes into the wood.
