DIY Noodle Bench

Don’t ask me what a noodle bench is for although I’m guessing maybe to hang noodles over it?  At any rate I built this cutie from scrap wood and I’m sharing my plans so you too can have a noodle bench.

A DIY tutorial to build a noodle bench. A simple, shallow bench used mostly for decor this bench is a quick and easy build with my plans.

Benches are like pillows, you can never have enough.  I was inspired by these benches with great lines:

Bench As Decor

Taking those inspiration benches I made my own plans and built the version you see here.  Not too deep, not too clunky, just the right length – exactly all the things a custom build will do for a space.

While my inspiration benches seem to have mortise and tenon joinery I don’t mind the exposed screw heads.  In fact you could sink the screws a bit and cover them with a dowel if you wanted to hide the hardware.

Wooden Bench

This noodle bench would also be great at the foot of a bed, in an entry or hallway.  For more bench build ideas see my previous benches here:

Once you build the two sets of legs the bench is nearly complete.  It really is a fairly simple project and easy to customize to your space.
