Build: triple pedestal dining table
Using plans from Ana White I built this triple pedestal farmhouse dining table from pine boards and fir studs.
This table has so many beautiful details: the inset table top edge, the curved arches on the pedestals, and the long stretcher support at center:
This table will be going to a friend’s cottage in Canada, it’s enormous size (106″ long) has space enough for at least 12 people if not more.
See how the curved arches create great architectural shapes against daylight and the table top has farmhouse written all over it:
How to build the triple pedestal dining table:
1. Use Ana White’s plans here.
2. Build the pedestals first and check for fit with the stretcher:
3. Sand and stain with Minwax provincial.
4. Seal with two coats Minwax clear satin poly.
The table you built is just amazing! It will be a new family heirloom to the lucky family it's going to.
