Tools: wa-basami thread cutter
My favorite new tool is this Japanese thread cutter.
Leave the scissors on the shelf, this little cutter will be your go to tool:
Not only is this thread cutter completely functional, it’s beautiful. The red and white wrapped handle is perfection and the engraved Japanese characters on the blade add such charm (I have no idea what they mean.).
This thread cutter was purchased from Best Made Co. If you haven’t visited their website or retail store you must have a glimpse. They specialize in core survival gear: axes, clothing, tools, supplies, etc.
And every product is meticulously selected or crafted to fit their style.
Even the packaging:
Measure twice, cut once packing tape, their logo stamped on kraft packing paper, the entire package covered in Japanese characters. Makes me want to get more packages from Best Made Co.
The thread cutters are easy to handle and make a sharp close clip:
I’ve mentioned Best Made Co. before, I used their lumberlander camp blanket as inspiration for a handpainted sign:

And again when I made this smaller Be Optimistic sign based off the Best Made Co be optimistic felt badge:

Hope you enjoy Best Made Co. and all they have to offer as much as I do.
