Friends if only my kids were little again! We have the absolute sweetest diy play tea cart for this week’s Handbuilt Holiday gift plan:
Run and gather the minimal supplies to make this right now! As promised Ana White and I share one new gift build plan every Friday through Christmas and today does not disappoint. To see all the previous weeks projects click here.
I mean seriously how can you not want or need one of these adorable tea carts? I’m thinking we might just need an adult size too.
I used inexpensive railing spindles for the legs and I made the scallop trim from 1/4″ plywood. There are various ready made decorative trims available at the craft stores that would work too.
Ana made these simple plans here so you can embellish to fit your needs.
I found an $8 plastic tea set at Homegoods and all the wood treats and cupcakes are DIY projects.
Follow Ana’s plans here for materials, cut list and step by step instructions.
I painted the tea cart using DecoArt Americana Decor Outdoor Living in succulent.
To add the casters predrill a 3/8″ hole in the bottom of the spindles, hammer the collar into the hole and then snap the caster post in place.
We hope you enjoyed this play tea cart and please come back next Friday for another gift build project plan.

My kids have gotten just a little old for a tea cart for the dolls. I would use it for a plant stand just to have an excuse to make it!:)
