“C” is for Celebrate Sign & a Winner

April 14, 2014

Paint: celebrate script sign (and a winner)
A handpainted sign you can make without fancy stencils or a vinyl cutting machine.
A simple word document print out is all you need.

This celebrate sign is a great backdrop for a party and you can make it any size to fit your space.
How to make a handpainted script sign:

Supplies:

– 1 – 1/2″ plywood (10″h x 33″w)
– ballpoint pen
– ‘celebrate’ print out (details below)
– pink acrylic paint
– white acrylic paint
– small paintbrush
– clear satin poly
Step 1: Print out ‘celebrate’ using Microsoft Word.  I used Centeria Script font at 800 point.
Lay out printout on top of plywood to fit.

Step 2: Using a ballpoint pen trace outline of letters with heavy pressure.
The pressure from the pen leaves an indent in the wood.

Step 3: Paint on and inside the indent.
Step 4: Add a shadow or highlight using white paint.
Seal with clear satin polycrylic.
And the winner of the Staples $100 home office product giveaway is:
a Rafflecopter giveaway
