Hooray for back to school! I’m a huge fan and while we still have 6 weeks of summer left here in New York I know some folks are nearing that first school day very soon. Today I’m sharing some wood projects you can build for back to school, things to keep you organized and a few fun builds that all kids are sure to enjoy.
This desktop caddy is perfect for the homework space or also would make a great teacher gift. It’s an easy build and I have the plans and steps for your here.
Another option for desktop organization is this super cute compartment style pencil and supplies organizer. Ashley from Lil Blue Boo shares her tutorial here.
This wood apple paperweight is a cute back to school teacher gift idea. I used 4×4 scrap wood to make the apple shape, see all the details here.
Need a designated spot for backpacks and jackets? Build this personalized wall shelf with hooks and kids will know exactly where to hang their gear. I shared the tutorial over at Pretty Handy Girl here.
If you have the space why not make a homework counter? Get all those papers and supplies off the kitchen table and over to a designated spot. The full post and details are here.
Does this scooter bring back memories? The best is when your friend would push you on the scooter from behind right?!!! Amy at Permanent Kisses made this red cutie and she has more details here.
Here’s a one board project that might help with getting ready for school. A great place to store girls hair supplies makes getting ready in the morning a breeze. The plans are here.
An all in one supply container with handles? Yes please. Love the portability and space for papers and folders too. Liz from Love Grows Wild has all the steps to make your own crate style homework station.
We can’t forget the locker cubbies! This is a bigger build but honestly an easy put together type project because the crates are already assembled. I have the plans and instructions here.
