“A” is for Apple & Wheat Wreath

September 12, 2014

Craft: diy apple and wheat wreath
It’s a wreath mash up today where I combined two beautiful wreath ideas into one.  I fell in love with Ann’s gorgeous wheat wreath at On Sutton Place:

And this yummy apple wreath at Fox Hollow Cottage made by Shayne from Wood Grain Cottage.

They are both truly lovely wreaths on their own.
Since I couldn’t decide I put them together to make this apple wheat wreath:
Not as show stopping as the inspiration that’s for sure but I still love it.

How to make an apple and wheat wreath:

Supplies:
– faux apples
– 12″ straw wreath
– wheat
– floral pins
– moss
– hot glue gun & glue sticks
– burlap ribbon
Step 1: Take bundles of wheat and secure to wreath using floral pin.
Continue adding wheat bundles until wreath is 2/3 full.
Step 2: Hot glue apples directly onto wreath.
Step 3: Shove moss in between apples to fill gaps.  Add burlap bow.
