6 ideas for diy personalized towels
Easily make your own personalized towels to keep or give using terry cloth towels and nearly any cotton fabric.
Stay simple and go with the single letter in black:

Or make it fun for kids with plaid fabric and a full name monogram:

Here I made a coordinating set, hand towel and washcloths:

A Pottery Barn Teen knock off that you can easily pull off yourself, I shared the full tutorial for these ruffled towels here:

See here how I made the plaid versions for two brothers:

This combination below was for a brother and sister who share the kids bathroom, same font and size but different color fabrics designating boy and girl:

How to personalize any terry cloth towel:

1. Print letter to fit towel.  To save ink print letter outline only in draft format.
(Here I used Georgia font at 300 point.)
Also iron fusible med. weight interfacing to wrong side of cotton fabric:

2. Using a light box place print out right side down then place fabric on top of letter right side down.
Trace outline of letter directly onto interfacing:

3. Cut out letter and pin in place:

4. Sew in place with a tight zig zag stitch, keep your needle in the down position when rotating around curves and corners for a seamless look:

Super-cute and fun ideas! I've done some very simple towel additions by just sewing on bands or ruffles of fabric, but I have never tried the monograms. That would be so sweet. Thanks for sharing!
