It goes without saying that every homeowner needs a wet dry vac in their tool arsenal. They are vital for easy clean up of dry and wet debris but have you considered a wet dry vac with auto detail accessories? I’m partnering with The Home Depot to bring you this post featuring the Ridgid wet dry vac with auto detail kit.
A tool review of the Ridgid wet dry vac with auto detail kit. A homeowner essential tool with accessories for tackling auto interiors.
Before we get talking about the auto detail attachments for which I fallen head over heels, let’s get back to basics. My workshop is on the back patio and naturally when I’m finished for the day there are piles of sawdust all over the beautiful bluestone patio. One option is to use a blower but that merely pushes the sawdust into the grass. The better option is to take advantage of the powerful suction, large capacity and a rugged construction of this Ridgid wet dry vac and get rid of the sawdust for good.
This Ridgid 14 gallon high performance wet dry vac can easily handle any homeowner or job site chore no matter how big or small. A 3-layer fine dust filter (pre-installed inside the drum) captures even the finest particles such as dry wall dust. And the easy-maneuvered casters provide 360° of mobility.
Features:
- top handle with on-board cord wrap
- heavy duty 2-piece drum construction and a large drain
- 6.0 peak horsepower motor
- whisper quiet operation
- built-in accessory caddy
- pull handle and casters
In addition to all the standard awesome features of a wet dry vac this model comes with the auto detail kit. I don’t know about you but my car collects more dust and debris than my kitchen. And somehow cleaning my car falls to the wayside probably because I never had the proper tools. I attached the soft bristle brush to the premium hose and sucked up all that interior dust from the dashboard and control center. It feels amazing to have clean crevices on the dash all thanks to the soft bristle brush attachment.
The only downside to having so many auto detail attachments is the issue of where to store them. While Ridgid does a great job with the built-in accessory caddy to store standard accessories there is no place to store the auto detail accessories. One minor downside, however I’m happy to keep the auto detail attachments in a dedicated box for storage.
In addition to classic vacuuming this Ridgid wet dry vac also acts as a blower. Simply move the hose to the exhaust port to blow debris from garages, desks, sidewalks, etc. Dual functionality in one awesome tool.
Included with this model:
- wet dry vac drum with 3 layer fine dust filter
- 7′ dual-flex locking hose
- 2 extension wands
- utility nozzle
- car nozzle
- wet nozzle
- 10″ premium hose
- soft bristle brush
- stiff bristle brush
- flexible crevice tool
- claw nozzle
- 2 hose adapters

Great tool attachments.
Can you tell me if their attachment kit is compatible with other wet/dry vacs?
We have a vac already, can’t justify a new vac just for attachments.
Thank you

Hi Lore, The auto cleaning accessory kit here: https://homedepot.sjv.io/PqPNR comes with an adaptor for 2 1/2″ hose to 1 1/4″ accessories. Depending on your wet vac hose diameter you may need to purchase a different adaptor.
