“T” is for Teachers

June 12, 2012

End of the year teacher gifts:
Monogrammed seersucker pouches packed with ready-for-summer treats:

I made the pouches last week, you can see the full tutorial here.
The linings are all bright, fun colors that coordinate with the seersucker exteriors:

Collect some goodies for the inside:
small notebooks, Sharpie markers (in colors to match the lining!), mixed nuts, lip balm, Starbucks gift cards, tiny packs of gum, and purse size sunscreens:

I found this printable ‘latte’ card here then cut 2 corner slits to hold the Starbucks gift card and added colored cardstock on the back:
Once all the goodies are in the pouch, wrap with cellophane and tie with colored ribbon.
Then place the wrapped pouch in a white craft handled bag.
For the bag tags I found a ‘thank you’ teacher printable online but I cannot find the source, sorry.  I did find something similar here, cut out using a 2″ circle cutter:
Punch a hole in the circle and add string.
I found the felt apples on mini clothespins at Michaels.
Tuck the wrapped pouch inside the gift bag and tie with red gingham ribbon, attach clothespin to handle:
We’re ready for the last day of school and the teachers are ready for summer with their seersucker pouches.
