Rockwell Tools Giveaway

April 28, 2014

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and what a better way to celebrate that new tools!
Rockwell Tools Mother's Day giveaway
If you haven’t tried Rockwell Tools Sonicrafter X2 or BladeRunner yet then let me fill you in.
rockwell bladerunner cutting plywood
Cutting a 3/4″ plywood circle is a dream!  Look at that smooth cut edge (and no it has not been sanded yet).  The Rockwell BladeRunner is controlled, accurate cutting that you cannot get with a jigsaw.
plywood stool seat
ikea stool before and after
My son recently broke the plastic seat off of this stool snapping the screw anchors.  I used the BladeRunner to cut a new 3/4″ wood seat and the results are perfection.
plywood stool reconstructed
replacing plastic seat with plywood
I simply traced the old plastic seat onto 3/4″ plywood and began cutting with the BladeRunner.  One note you have to be aware of the arm base (at the orange arrow above), be sure the wood can fit through the opening.  Another note be certain the arm is snug and the presser foot is down otherwise you will get a ton of vibration.
Rockwell Tools has thought of everything for the BladeRunner.  The sawdust drawer keeps your workspace clean, the miter gauge stores neatly on the side and all the blades are easily accessible:

Speaking of blades, they are super easy and fast to change out depending on which material you are cutting.  Yes the BladeRunner will cut wood, metal, plastic and tile!  And you can use ANY standard T-shank blade making it easy to replace blades.
Are you thinking you need a BladeRunner now?
Great but you’ll also want the Sonicrafter X2 too after you see what it can do:
rockwell sonicrafter multi tool in action
The Sonicrafter X2 is the most versitile cutting machine that every DIYer needs in their tool lineup.

All those accessories means the Sonicrafter X2 can cut, saw, scrap, sand, polish and on and on.  And switching between the accessories is easier than ever with the hyperlock clamp.  One try and you’ll be using the Sonicrafter X2 for every project I guarantee.
Thank you to the kind folks at Rockwell Tools, one lucky US based resident will win one Sonicrafter X2 and BladeRunner.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Those both look like two things my husband would enjoy having in his workshop. Thanks for sharing them with us. This would be a great Father's Day gift idea.
