This post about a recycling tower is sponsored by Ryobi Tools. Recycling has never looked so good! Friends I’m so excited to share with you our new recycling tower with the perfect spot for recycling bins. And bonus additional storage shelves above to make use of that vertical space.
A DIY tutorial to build a recycling tower for your garage or laundry room. Make recycling easy with this shelving tower designed for easy access to the bins.
Why I ever waited three years to build this is beyond me? It’s a dream to have the recycling up off the floor and at waist level. So convenient with easy access plus this recycling tower makes use of the vertical space in our laundry room. #winning Such a bonus having the additional storage space for those bulk items.
A few construction notes to share for building this recycling tower.
Mirror Images:
In step 1 be sure to build mirror images of the two side frame pieces. The recycling bins sit on slanted shelves for easier access so you want the mitered side shelf supports to mirror each other as in the photo above.
Spacing:
Leave about 20″ between the two slanted shelves for easy access depositing recycling into the bins and for getting the bins in and out of the shelves. The remaining storage shelves are equally spaced above. Determine what your storage needs are and add as many or few shelves as you need.
