An very simple Easter craft using items you probably already have on hand – let’s use plastic Easter eggs and bamboo skewers to make an egg centerpiece.
This plastic egg centerpiece adds so much color and a touch of whimsy and it’s definitely a project the kids can do (with adult supervision).
How to make a plastic egg centerpiece:
Supplies:
– 2×2 pine board cut at desired length
– bamboo skewers
– plastic eggs
– drill
– hot glue gun & glue sticks
Step 1: Drill 1/8″ hole into bottom center of egg. Most of my eggs already had a small hole in the bottom I only had to enlarge the hole in order for the skewer to fit.
Step 2: Drill holes at random into one side of 2×2 board.
Step 3: Insert skewer into hole in 2×2 and then insert egg onto skewer. Apply hot glue onto skewer inside the egg to be sure it stays in place. Snap top half of egg back in place.
