A book themed birthday party:
We have a Grandpa who loves books and loves to read so I decided for this big birthday to make it book themed.
I used navy and white gingham fabric as a table runner and kept with the navy, white and brown kraft paper color scheme throughout.
The birthday banner was made from old paperback book pages made into rosettes
(see the full tutorial here):
For favors and a little something to keep the kids occupied I covered composition books with kraft paper:
I also made bookmarks for everyone using a Dr. Seuss quote:
(get the free download here):
The table decoration was a simple centerpiece of stacked books covered in brown kraft paper.
I shared the full tutorial last week here:
For activities we had a scavenger hunt, Grandpa held the last clue which was a key to unlock the bin full of water balloons:
We had birthday pie:
And roasted marshmallows to make smores:
The twinkle lights only get better as it gets darker:
And the kids did sparklers too which I didn’t get any pictures of 🙁
