Streak-Free Outdoor Cleaning

June 19, 2019

We’re talking outdoor cleaning with Windex® Outdoor sponsored by The Home Depot.  Get that sparkly streak-free clean on all your outdoor windows, patio furniture, grill and so much more.  It’s so easy you’ll want to clean everything in sight!

windex outdoor cleaner with hose

Easy outdoor cleaning with Windex® Outdoor. Get a streak-free shine on windows, patio furniture and more with just your garden hose.

Pick up a bottle of Windex® Outdoor, attach it to your garden hose, turn on the water and spray!  You’ll be cleaning all the patio furniture, windows, brick surfaces and more.

attaching hose to windex cleaner

The bottle comes pre-fit with a nozzle ready to accept a standard garden hose.  Simply twist the red portion snug onto your garden hose and you’re for outdoor cleaning.

The directions are easy enough even my teenagers could complete this job:

  • attach garden hose to nozzle
  • turn on garden hose
  • twist knob to rinse (to get surface wet)
  • then twist knob to clean (allows windex outdoor cleaner fluid to flow)
  • twist knob back to rinse (to rinse off cleaner)
  • twist knob to off
  • let windows air dry and admire that streak-free clean

cleaning storm window with windex outdoor

I used the Windex® Outdoor cleaner on my back storm door.  This door takes the brunt of people traffic along with backyard tree debris.  Depending on your water pressure and how much flow you allow through the garden hose will determine the strength of the water shooting through the cleaner.  You can see above it’s a powerful stream (I had my hose spigot open about half-way) capable of removing dirt, grime, greasy smudges and dirty hand smears.

There’s no need to wipe the windows, just let them air dry and sparkle.  That’s easy outdoor cleaning at its best!

control knob on nozzle

The white control knob is clearly labeled:

  • OFF
  • RINSE
  • CLEAN

With the labeled knob you know exactly which setting you are using.  The cleaner bottle also comes with a yellow cap to close the spray spout when not in use.  This Windex® Outdoor cleaner is such a great product that makes outdoor cleaning fast and easy plus it won’t harm your plants, siding, grill or other plastic items.
