Fall has arrived and a special hello to you readers coming from Jen’s place at The House of Wood. She sure knows how to make it beautiful no matter what season and her fall home tour table does not disappoint!
Adding Fall touches to our saltbox farmhouse for a Fall home tour. Including a few DIY projects and decor you can pull together using what you have on hand.
I’m sharing my Fall home tour as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Home Tour organized by April at House of Hoff and Krista at The Happy Housie. Thank you ladies for pulling together so much amazing inspiration!
Each day this week bloggers will be sharing their Fall home tours and you don’t want to miss any!
Living Room / Office
Let’s start in my Living Room / Office because this is where my desk is located and I spend a ton of time here.
This space is actually more of a work room. And what an amazing office space with this original fireplace and mantle! So I added a few simple decorations hinting that Fall has arrived.
I made the framed scrap wood pumpkins artwork last Fall and only realized this year that it fits perfectly above the fire box! And a few baby squash, hydrangea clippings from the yard, my scrap wood quilt art, copper candle holders and some white pitchers complete the mantle.
Dining Room
And now moving into the Dining Room with a few pumpkins, squash, gourds and pinecones on the sideboard.
I love the contrast of the navy sideboard and brass hardware against the warm orange and neutral hues of the gourds and pumpkins.
So I’m going with the ‘less is more’ theme here for this Fall home tour since there aren’t too many surfaces to decorate.
I filled up my tabletop wheelbarrow with more squash, pumpkins and gourds.
And I pulled out my DIY ribbon trimmed napkins. I had sewn brown and white polka dot grosgrain ribbon on the hem, super easy. And I made the place cards using a bit of green cardstock for a tiny accent color.
Fall Placecards:
- kraft paper tag
- green cardstock
- printed names on white cardstock
- twine with floral sprig
Feeling ready now for Thanksgiving.
Next I’m sending you to Rachel’s place at Maison de Pax for more beautiful Fall decor ideas. She always pulls off such sophisticated and elegant decor while mothering her four little ones – amazing!
