Habitat for Humanity Reveal

July 26, 2016

diy bloggers at habitat house
Those wonderful people pictured above are all bloggers who, under the guidance of Charlotte from Ciburbanity, teamed up to furnish a Habitat for Humanity house and I’m so honored to have been part of that team! (Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the installation day which is why I’m not in the picture 🙁 but there in spirit.)  Please read on to hear about this wonderful project and all the amazing bloggers contributions.
It’s true when they say ‘it takes a village’.  The bloggers paired up and took over a room in the house to furnish and decorate top to bottom.  My partner was Laura from Finding Home Farms, who is a master stylist in my eyes, and we were assigned the Living Room:

The larger pieces (sofa and chair) were selected by the new homeowner and Laura and I worked around those choices.  I built the coffee table and circular side table as well as refinished a bench (not pictured) near the front entry.  Laura selected the rug from RugsUSA and the lighting and throw pillows were made possible by donations from Hometalk and Wayfair.
Simple yet super comfortable this makes a relaxing space for a busy family.
Moving into the kitchen:

How beautiful is this space designed by Kris from Driven By Decor and Annie from Most Lovely Things?!!  They also furnished the deck space out back.  Check out their blogs for more details on their spaces.

Back in the front entry Sarah and Nick from Nestrs added a very useful ledge, mirror and chair.  I should point out that Nick and Sarah also did a lot of construction work back in March when we spent a Saturday working at the house.

Upstairs in the Master Bedroom Jillian from I Am a Homemaker, Charlotte from Ciburbanity, and Bee from Windgate Lane worked their magic to create a very serene and peaceful space.  Be sure to visit their blogs for more photos and details.

Jaime your pieces were amazing! The finish on the tables and the bench (which I am so sad I didn't take a picture of) was awesome. I am so lucky to have been a part of this project with you.
