Trying out a new paint line today from DecoArt called Americana Decor Matte Metallics. I built this simple wood frame for a mirror and painted it with the matte metallics.
So subtle and still shiny but not over the top.
Get all the details on how to make the frame and how I achieved this beautiful two tone matte metallic finish on the DecoArt blog here.
The matte metallics are available in 15 trendy and classic colors and make a great addition to your paint stash for that next project.
You can see below the coverage is amazing with just one coat, it’s opaque and thick but still workable.
Do you have the perfect piece that could use a little fancying up?

You are awesome! The mirror is beautiful and amazing and fabulous!
What I want to know is where did you find the roman shades for your windows that are reflected in the mirror? I have been looking and looking, with no luck. This is exactly what I am looking for and can’t find!

Thanks Bobbie. Regarding the Roman shades I made them myself. The tutorial is here: https://jaimecostiglio.com/2014/03/r-is-for-roman-shades.html Not too hard if you don’t mind sewing. Good luck!

The frame turned out great. Do you have a tutorial on how you built the frame?
Jaime says

I also love your mirror (and the beams in the background!)
Jaime says
Thanks Marcie, I ripped down the ceiling 2 years ago to uncover those beams and it was so worth it! https://jaimecostiglio.com/2016/04/master-bedroom-ceiling-makeover.html
