Looking to make a big impact at your next event? Artificial trees are not only great for Christmas but are also a beautiful and large option for year round greenery and that’s a win in my book.

Make a huge impact with artificial Christmas trees when thinking about decor for your next event. Bonus these trees can be used over and over again for years to come!
I tasked myself with the decor for a friend’s wedding. And we needed a solution for the exterior space of her reception site. The building was a bit drab. It was February in New York so everything outside was dormant and I needed to create a welcoming entrance for guests.
After much brainstorming I came up with the idea to use large artificial trees thanks to my friends at Tree Classics. To liven up the rather corporate looking exterior I selected the 6 1/2′ unlit Kennedy fir slim Christmas tree. It’s a perfectly narrow tree that didn’t overwhelm the space and provided tons of greenery and life. Watch the quick set up with hinged branches here:
Tree Planters
The cedar planters measure 24″ square and provide wonderful warm wood contrast against the luscious green trees. These gorgeous Kennedy Fir slim trees are designed with a combination of lifelike Real Feel™ PE tips and PVC needles to give it the lush appearance of a genuine tree. The branches descend gracefully to create a natural looking scene perfect for welcoming guests.
Up close you can see the combination of lifelike Real Feel™ PE needles on the outside and Classic PVC needles towards the inside of the tree for fullness. In addition to providing a great decor solution for this wedding these trees can be used again and again, inside and outside for any occasion.
Setting Up an Artificial Tree
Setting up this tree could not be easier. I built the cedar planters to fit the exterior entry area and then added a platform base. The tree comes with a sturdy metal stand to hold the stems. I secured the stand to the platform using zip ties just in case it got windy.
Once the base is in position pop in the three tree parts. Then fluff the branches and you’re ready for lights and decorations! A huge thank you to Tree Classics, I have used their artificial trees for many years now and they never disappoint. I highly suggest looking through their beautiful collection of trees, wreaths and decorations especially when thinking about Christmas!
